Our History
Since 1972, The Women’s Centers have been dedicated to providing expert, compassionate abortion care and reproductive health services. We started during a time of major social and political change, driven by a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves safe, high-quality healthcare, no matter their circumstances.
Over the past 50 years, we’ve expanded to serve communities in Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Through it all, our mission has remained the same—putting patients first and standing firm in the fight for reproductive health, rights, and justice. We’ve faced legal and political challenges, but we’ve never backed down. Our work is about ensuring that people, especially those facing the biggest barriers, get the care they need and deserve.
What We Do
At TWC, we provide a full range of reproductive health services and specialize in abortion care at our four accredited facilities in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Each center upholds rigorous standards for patient care, safety, and confidentiality. Our team of experienced medical professionals provides compassionate, high-quality care in a safe and welcoming space.
Our priority is making abortion care and reproductive health services accessible to anyone who seeks them. We specialize in supporting patients who may have a harder time accessing care, including those navigating structural inequities and those needing services later in pregnancy.
Our approach is grounded in unbiased, patient-centered pregnancy options counseling—offering accurate information and compassionate guidance to help each person make the decision that’s right for themselves and their families.
But we don’t stop at medical services. We’re deeply invested in community advocacy fighting for policies that protect reproductive freedom and advance health equity. . Everyone should have the ability to make informed decisions about their own bodies and futures, and we work every day to make that a reality.
Education, Advocacy, and Action
We believe knowledge is power. That’s why we train healthcare providers in abortion care, ensuring future generations of clinicians have the skills and understanding they need. We also participate in critical research to advance medical and social perspectives on abortion and reproductive rights.
Beyond education, we’re active in legal and policy advocacy. We challenge restrictions that limit access to care, partnering with legal experts, community organizations, and policymakers to fight for reproductive freedom.
And we don’t just talk about change—we make it happen. We encourage our supporters to take action in whatever way works for them: volunteering, donating, subscribing to updates, exploring career opportunities, or using their voices to defend reproductive rights. Whether it’s becoming a clinic escort, helping patients financially, or simply voting for leaders who support social justice, every action counts.
Building a Better Future
We’re more than just healthcare providers; we’re also a part of the communities we serve. We work alongside local organizations, offer volunteer opportunities, and create safe spaces for education and conversation. Our vision is simple: a future where reproductive healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of background or financial situation.
The landscape is always changing, but we remain committed to innovation, advocacy, and compassionate care. We believe reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right, and we won’t stop fighting until that right is secured for everyone.
Join us in shaping a future where healthcare is accessible, equitable, and just for all.
